Why don't you buy traditional Japan craft accessories and help Japan? A huge earthquake struck Japan during the New Year's holiday at 16:10 on January 1, 2024. With 221 deaths and 15,073 houses damaged, it is said that it will take three to 10 years for the local economy to recover. In particular, the current situation is that the impact on traditional crafts is significant. For example, a lacquerware craft called Wajimanuri. The number of craftsmen is drastically decreasing due to the declining population of Japan, and the process of creating one lacquerware takes more than 100 hands. It is also unknown whether it will be possible to recover from this earthquake. Right now, Japan is facing a crisis in which traditional crafts may be cut off. Therefore, sa-iwai has decided to donate a portion of the sales of traditional craft accessories to the Noto Peninsula earthquake relief fund for the next one year so that local traditional crafts can be revived as soon as possible.
